History of the House

The Old School House is a Victorian detached house designed by Joseph Hansom in 1877 / 8.   It was originally built to accommodate the headmaster of the Catholic school next door.

The property retains its original elevations with red brick walls and stone mullioned windows beneath a clay tiled roof.   Its features include lattice windows and fireplaces in the living rooms.
